ARTIST STATEMENT

Diana Lazare b.1988 in Latvia.

In my artistry, I strive to create three-dimensional textile works where the body and space meet in a subtle dialogue. My work moves in the borderland between playfulness and seriousness, where craft and imagination intertwine to create a tactile experience. I aim for a skillful result that not only shows the versatility of textiles, but also reflects the careful process behind each handmade piece. With my background in pattern construction and through meticulous sewing work, I transform textiles into soft subtle shapes and sculptures.
